NAACP State Convention
Richmond NAACP Freedom Fund Gala. At the event, I received the Youth Great Expectation Award. I also had the privilege to introduce Rev. Barber.
Dear Family and Friends, yesterday, I went to the USA Science and Engineering Festival, which is the largest STEM event in the nation. It was amazing! There were so many exhibits, things to do, and it was an all around awesome experience. This event actually lasted yesterday, and ends today, and I wish I was able to be there today as well because we didn't even get to experience a quarter of what this festival had to offer. All of the companies from everywhere in STEM were there. All of the branches of the military, NASA, Samsung, and tons of others. It was such an exciting event, and I look forward to being there in the next 2 years. I want to thank everyone who participated in the DreamersImagine bus tour to the festival, and I would not have been able to go, had it not been for the support of everyone, so thank you so much, and I love you all. Peace and Blessings.
Dear Family and Friends, I went to a breakfast celebrating the 85th anniversary of the Southside Child Development Center. It was a marvelous event. The SCDC has been serving the community for 85 years, helping young children acquire early childhood development and education. I was honored to be invited to this event. The SCDC needs all of our help through volunteering and donations. I made my contribution today and Iook forward to volunteering my time. I am asking you to please join me in this worthy cause and volunteer and/or make a donation. Please go to the website link below and see the marvelous work they have done. Peace and Blessings.
Good Evening Family and Friends,
I invite you to please read this follow-up article about children being referred to the police, by our schools. Children should not be targeted because of the color of their skin and/or disabilities. Each child should be treated like they are special, because we are! Please also take the time to go to my mother's page (Brenda Coles) and sign the petition for Kaleb because he did not commit a felony. We must continue to stand up and stand out. If we don't stand for something, we will for anything. I would like to thank Susan Ferris, from the Center of Public Integrity, for her continuous efforts on these stories. Thank you!
Peace and Blessings.
I was glad to participate in the VEA/NEA "Put Kids First" Rally. It was an exciting experience, and about the fight to make youth the first priority for everyone in this commonwealth. We really do need to "Put Kids First" because they need to have a good education, and a good opportunity in life.
I also want to thank the PTA for everything they do in our schools, because they are a very important entity. They support by helping to buy school resources. Every parent should be a part of the PTA. We need 100% parent participation to better our education.

It was such an honor to have been able to meet the General Manager of the WWBT NBC12 station, Kym Grinnage, and get a special tour of the station with him. Make sure you check out his awesome commentaries about world events, on Saturday mornings.
On Thanksgiving Day (2016), I volunteered for the Richmond Thanksgiving Feast. It was so awesome that I was able to volunteer, and it was so heart-warming when I saw the faces of those attending the feast light up, when they saw a little boy helping with the event. It was a volunteer opportunity that I truly did not want to miss, and I am sure that I will be participating next year!
It was an honor to walk in the Washington DC 4th of July parade (2016), as Frederick Douglass. I want to thank the National Park Service and the Fredrick Douglass National Historic Site for this opportunity. Peace and Blessings.
Family and Friends, I was honored to be a part of a production by the Mass Emphasis Children's History and Theater Company, titled, "Same Neighborhood, Different Perspectives: A Conversation Between Colin Powell and Kwame Ture (formerly known as Stokely Carmichael)". I will be the prelude of the production, by performing an excerpt from a Dr. King speech titled, "Beyond Vietnam", than transitioning into a Frederick Douglass speech titled, "The 4th of July to the American Negro", and sharing the comparisons and similarities between the speeches, which were written with almost 100 years between them. This production will occur on Saturday, July 1st, in recognition of Kwame Ture's 76th Birthday Celebration. Kwame Ture, was the person who helped create WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) which gave money to parents to help nurse their children, and also help started Free Lunch for children in school. This event will be held at the St. Stephens and the Incarnation Episcopal Church, located at 1525 Newton Street NW, Washington D.C 20010. The doors will open at 6:30 PM. You can pay in advance or at the door. The cost is $10 per person, $15 per family, $5 for students, and $10 for Community Organizations. The PayPal email is: firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to see you all there, because this event is historical and will be educational for all. Peace and blessings.
It was an honor to speak before the distinguished group of teachers at Fairfield Court Elementary School. I want to thank the teachers for allowing me to speak. My message was about the challenges that students and teachers may face in school. However, there can always be a positive outcome.
